What does 1:1 advising include?
PreWork + Onboarding
After reviewing your goals Candace will have a candid discussion about your intentions, what success looks like for you, and any inhibitors that may be a barrier to that success.
1:1 Advising
From there, you’ll embark on a journey of eight (8) 1:1 sessions filled with exercises, and probing discussions that will help you get to your unique zone of genius, and create a roadmap that will position you for a more fulfilling and restorative presence in your career and life.
Your Personal Playbook
After your 1:1 sessions, Candace will deliver a playbook to support you in tracking your progress. She’ll also be available to you weekly for an additional month via text and emails.
Implementation
Then you’re off! Implementing the plan you’ve built, and checking in with Candace at 1, 3, and 6 month intervals to discuss your progress.
OUR FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Candace Queen, and I've been in your shoes.
Over a decade ago I pivoted from a career in nonprofit consulting and research to start over in advertising, working my way up, from an art direction intern at GSD&M, to cutting my teeth as a jr. art director at Digitas, to navigating the freelance world and eventually landing in a role as EVP of an industry trade organization over the course of a decade.
On my journey I learned that leadership and growth guides were not tools readily available to those entering my industry and many others. I also noticed that those quietly doing the work were often overlooked and in turn, their growth was limited. I created Bright Road because I’ve grown weary of watching incredible talent get sidelined by broken systems. I believe that leadership is a skill, not a mystery. It can be taught, practiced, and perfected. You can succeed, and still be uniquely you.
